Among the most popular and most visited observation decks in Serbia is certainly Banjska Stena, which offers a magnificent view of the Drina River and the Tara Mountain.

It is precisely here that most photos are taken that make the rounds in Europe and the world, so from year to year there is a growing interest in that location. During the season, a large number of visitors from the country and abroad chose to come here, and next summer, the tourists will be welcomed with a new look.

"The existing canopies are quite dilapidated, so now three new ones are being built," Ranko Micanovic from the Tara National Park (NP) has told RINA.

"The road leading to the observation point leads through a forest, so it is necessary for visitors to take a break when they arrive. The most important thing is that everything is done in harmony with nature and everything will be built out of wood."

As this is inaccessible terrain, the material for building canopies is being taken up using horses, because no machine can pass through there.

"Most (observation decks) are hidden and difficult to access, however, the most beautiful ones can still be reached, but, of course, only on foot. There are nine arranged observation decks that are fenced and safe for visitors, and they offer expansive, million-dollar views. The most famous is certainly Banjska Stena, but the other eight are no less beautiful," says Micanovic.

The Tara National Park observation decks represent the most attractive locations from which this protected area can be experienced in a special way.
