Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Belgrade on Sunday.

The two officials are expected to discuss further development of bilateral relations between the two countries, the situation in our region, while the turbulent situation in Kosovo and Metohija should be especially in focus - in the wake of tensions caused by Albin Kurti's government that had sent special police unit Rosu to administrative crossings in the north of our province.

Today, Vucic will meet with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Co-President of the Russian part of the Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation between Serbia and Russia Yury Borisov, who has started his two-day working visit to Serbia. It is expected that one topic of discussion will be the energy crisis that is shaking the world due to enormously high gas prices in Europe.

Also, Vucic will speak with Borisov about a new gas arrangement with Gazprom, since Serbia's current one expires at the end of the year. The head of state announced earlier that he would fight for the best possible price for our country. Serbia now pays almost five times less for Russian gas than the current price on the European market.
