Strong Kosava wind created real chaos in 29 Novembra Street in Belgrade where a tree was knocked down. Large branches fell on all the cars parked beneath.

This morning, the state meteorological service, RHMZ, issued a Kosava storm alert for the area of Serbia, stating that strong winds will blow until Friday.

"Strong and stormy southeasterly wind in the Kosava region until Friday, which will on Wednesday and Thursday in the south of Banat reach hurricane strength gusts of over 28 meters per second (> 100 kilometers per hour)," said the RHMZ alert, issued last night just after midnight, which is valid until October 8.

Meteorologist from the Weather2Umbrella company Djordje Djuric wrote on Facebook that weather will turn autumnal on Wednesday.

"In the following days, hurricane strength Kosava gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour. Sunny and relatively warm weather for this time of year prevails in Serbia (today)," he wrote.
