Croatia is postponing introduction of mandatory Covid certificates for employees in healthcare and social welfare institutions, meaning that they will not become mandatory starting October 1, as previously announced.

According to the Croatian media, the date of implementation of this decision is not known yet, but it is speculated that it will happen some time next week.

Testing will be mandatory twice a week for those who cannot get a Covid certificate because they have not been vaccinated.

The decision on Covid certificates in health care was made by the Civil Protection Headquarters, and the reason stated is the need to ensure the highest level of protection of patients and users of social welfare.
