President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic on Monday met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is on a two-day visit to our country.
After the meeting with Vucic, Angela Merkel remarked that they discussed a number of different topics.

"First of all, I would like to thank you for your hospitality, and I am glad that I came to Serbia once again, because over the years we have reached a relationship of full trust and we have achieved results, regardless of the fact that Serbia and the entire region still have a long way to go," said the German chancellor.
She stressed that our two countries are historically closely connected, both when it comes to culture, politics and economy.
"We must remember the 80th anniversary of Wehrmacht's attack on Yugoslavia, and I am glad to be able to announce the amount of 500,000 for reconstruction, and I am glad that we have ratified agreements on memorials," said Angela Merkel.
She pointed out that she would on Tuesday meet with other leaders from the region, with whom she would discuss the European path of the Western Balkans.
