Brnabic talks about mandatory vaccination of medical workers: It's devastating that should be needed
The prime minister of Serbia spoke about mandatory vaccination and Covid passes at the opening of a new Covid hospital in Novi Sad
Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic said today that she would not like to introduce mandatory vaccination for health workers because she believes that it is an insult to them.
"If you introduce mandatory vaccination, you have those who do not want it for various reasons, even at the Faculty of Medicine there are professors who are anti-vaxxers. Anyway, if someone doesn't want it, what are you going to do, fire them because of it? If you do that, there are unions, human rights activists... That is why I think there must be another way - for reason to prevail and win," the prime minister said.
She added that the big problem is that vaccination is not supported by all media outlets, but that we still have to fight against it.
"It is really devastating for me to introduce that as an obligation. The pressure from the medical part of the Crisis HQ is great, but we will see what happens at the meeting," she said.
