A minor is in custody after causing a serious accident in Zemun that killed a girl, injured 4 others

By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, Ivan J. (16) has been remanded in custody for up to 30 days for causing a traffic accident that occurred on Sunday in Zemun Polje, as a result of which Sladjana A. (17) lost her life, while four other people were injured, the daily Blic has learned.
Yesterday, the Department for Juveniles of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade asked the police to detain Ivan J. for causing a serious act against the safety of public traffic and order him detained for 30 days.
"He was detained in his home and did not resist the arrest," said a Blic source.
The traffic accident happened on Sunday night in Zemun Polje near the settlement of Altina, when the minor lost control over a Peugeot vehicle he was driving.
At the time of the accident, the underage driver, who did not have a driver's license, had one permille of alcohol in his blood.
