Serb judges working in courts in the north of Kosovo today organized a boycott, and the reason is the confirmation of a verdict by which former deputy Ivan Todosijevic was sentenced to two years in prison, Index Online's sources said.

The same sources said that Serb judges claim that the Brussels agreement between Belgrade and Pristina has been violated, which stipulates that two Serb and one Albanian judge must be present in cases against Serbs. It is added that none of the Serb judges working in the northern municipalities have resigned.

According to their information, if measures are not taken to overturn the verdict, Serb police officers in the northern municipalities may also join the boycott.

They recall that the Serb List previously announced it would consider the option of not participating in the local elections in Kosovo on October 17 because of the verdict against Todosijevic.
