Vaccinated people who get Covid are making one mistake: Dr. Adzic reveals what they should do
Respecting the measures in the form of wearing a mask, maintaining physical distance and maintaining hygiene is necessary, in addition to the protection afforded by the vaccine
Most of those infected with coronavirus who had to be hospitalized have not been vaccinated or have been vaccinated with only one dose of the vaccine.
However, there are those who received both doses of the vaccine and still ended up in the hospital. This is happening not only in Serbia, but all over the world.
We asked Dr. Tatjana Adzic Vukicevic, the director of the Covid Hospital in Batajnica, what mistakes are made by those vaccinated with both doses who still get coronavirus.
"The likelihood that vaccinated persons will get sick from Covid-19, if they wear masks and respect the measures, is very low," Dr. Adzic Vukicevic told for Telegraf.
"However, one should bear in mind that immunity after the first and second dose of the vaccine lasts for a short time, at most six months, and that is why we should receive the third dose."
According to her, people who received both doses of the vaccine and then became ill with Covid-19, should not "skip" the booster dose.
"Like everyone who recovered from Covid-19, after six months they should receive the third dose of the vaccine," says the director of the Covid hospital in Batajnica.
