Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic says that restricting opening hours of hospitality establishments and shutting down night clubs will be the first new measures to be introduced if the number of new daily Covid cases in Serbia exceeds 1,000.

"Nobody is even thinking about reintroducing a curfew, but, it seems there will be the limiting of the time spent in restaurants and the shutting down of nightlife again," said Tiodorovic, who is also a member of the government's Crisis HQ set up to deal with the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia, Beta reported.

He said that August should be used by citizens to get vaccinated, since, according to him, that will provide greater safety in the fall.
