Vucic and Botsan-Kharchenko: High degree of bilateral cooperation
The two interlocutors discussed the situation in the region
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Ambassador of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko said on Monday that Serbia and Russia have confirmed a high degree of bilateral cooperation in the past period, despite the difficulties brought on by coronavirus.
For that reason they expressed their expectation that in the coming period there will be an increase in trade, completion of current and launching of new joint energy and infrastructure projects, as well as further strengthening of cooperation in the field of technological development and innovation, the Serbian president's press office said.
President Vucic and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko expressed satisfaction that the last portions of the Belgrade-Novi Sad railroad will be laid soon, because this project brings significant changes in the functioning of the railway traffic in our country.
The two interlocutors discussed the situation in the region, especially regarding the recent worrying events in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The need to ensure peace and stability has been stated.
On this occasion, Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko once again offered his condolences after the death of Serbian Ambassador to Russia Miroslav Lazanski, stressing his merits in the development of Serbian-Russian relations.
