This hidden gem is located a few kilometers from the main Cacak-Pozega road, towards Ovcar Banja and the village of Ducalovci.
After exiting highway and crossing a bridge, there is a dirt road, but it is in good condition and the stream is easy to reach. As soon as you leave the village, you come across a small parking lot and a signpost that shows the direction towards the stream.
A hiking trail leads to Banjski Potok, and descending to this natural oasis is a real adventure. However, in addition to natural beauty, this part of the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge is rich in exceptional cultural and historical heritage.
Certainly, all this is a small effort compared to the benefits of enjoying unreal scenes and natural beauties of Banjski Potok.
The canyon a kilometer upstream from the mouth of the stream is especially attractive for tourists. In one part, above the riverbed, sediments forms cascades in a waterfall. This part of the gorge is of great importance as far as flora and fauna are concerned. There used to be several mills on Banjski Potok, some belonged to monasteries, but only a few ruins remain today.
Banjski Potok simply entices you to jump in, especially during hot days, but swimming is strictly forbidden.
A spa and swimming pools filled with healing mineral water are a 10-minute drive away.
The Tourist Organization of Cacak is planning to additionally improve the area around Banjski Potok, and has received support for that project from the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
So this little paradise on earth will be even more ready to welcome numerous visitors from the country and abroad.
