Nikola Malbasa, a former Partizan football player, is seen running with bloody hands and a knife in his right hand down the sidewalk in Sevina Street in Zemun.

This scene is in a video that was reviewed in the Higher Court on Monday during Malbasa's trial for the attempted aggravated murder of Igor Neskovic, his business partner. The time in the video, 10:55, when Malbasa is running with a knife, roughly coincides with the time when, according to court records, that wounding happened last year. Malbasa is charged with stabbing the victim in the chest with a knife and cutting him on the hand while s sitting with Neskovic in his car, Novosti writes.

In addition to this recording, the telephone number of the accused and his correspondence with Neskovic were also examined, but it was not disclosed in the courtroom what they wrote to each other.

Malbasa's defense still claims that Neskovic was stabbed by someone else. His defense attorney, Dejan Lazarevic, said that it was not disputable that Malbasa was running with a knife, but that he actually saved Neskovic's life. He said that Malbasa would present his defense only when all the evidence has been presented, adding that the Neskovic is not acting fairly, because he knows the name of the man who stabbed him, but has not said it.
