In order to cross the Hungarian-Serbian border, one should count on several hours of waiting. It takes three to four hours to exit Hungary, and passenger vehicles stay at the entrance to Serbia for another hour. Passengers are recommended to use one of the eight alternative crossings.

In the past 12 hours, more than 3,000 vehicles and 12,000 people entered Serbia, an RTS reporter at Horgos said.

At the Serbian border, two additional lanes have been opened at the exit from the country, which will be used for entrance.

"This weekend, a large influx of tourists and vehicles from Western Europe who are headed home are expected. In cooperation with the border police, we will do everything to keep the delays at the Horgos crossing as short as possible. We will also open additional lanes. We recommend to our passengers to use alternative crossings, of which there are eight with Hungary, in order to make delays and jams at Horgos as short as possible," said Bora Tesanovic from the customs office at Horgos.

There are no long delays at the exit from Serbia to Hungary.
