On suspicion that he attempted the criminal act of rape, a criminal complaint was filed today with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Valjevo against the director of the Crni Vrh Hotel Jovan Teodosic (36), the brother of the famous basketball player Milos Teodosic, the prosecutor's office has told Tanjug.
The criminal complaint against him was filed by a former employee of that hotel, I.R. (43), who claims that Jovan Teodosic assaulted her on December 4, 2019, in her hotel room, during the time before the official opening of the hotel.
The prosecutor's office told Tanjug that the injured party will be granted the status of a particularly sensitive witness, as well as that the prosecutor's office will order all actions envisaged by law to be carried out in order to gather information and determine whether there are elements of a crime.
I.R. today filed the criminal complaint in the presence of her attorneys, lawyers Dragoslav Ljubicanovic and Jovana Turkovic.
The criminal complaint states, among other things, that Jovan Teodosic, about 2 hours after midnight on December 4, 2019, tried to have sex with her by using force and threatening to endanger her bodily integrity. The incident allegedly happened at the hotel, where the woman was under obligation to live at the time.
After that attempt, he told I.R. that he would do the same every night, which led her to suffer psychological and physical trauma.
For that reason, as stated in the report, she did not dare to immediately speak out and file a criminal report against the suspect, who she said treating her and other workers like a "bully."
Jovan Teodosic is the owner and director of the company Sport Agent DOO Belgrade, that operates the hotel on the mountain resort of Divcibare, where I.R. worked as an accountant.
The hotel was opened on December 22, 2019, and in the period before the opening, the employees had a work obligation to live in the hotel.
Otherwise, the status of a particularly sensitive witness is granted to witnesses or victims of criminal offenses due to special circumstances whichare in each specific case assessed by the supervisory authority, depending on the stage of the proceedings - the prosecution or the court.
In these cases, victims can get a proxy at the expense of the state, they can choose not to testify in front of the defendant and their defense counsel, but from their home, in special rooms of the prosecutor's office, or in court, or via video link.
They can also be questioned with the support of experts such as psychologists, welfare workers...
