Serbian diaspora getting involved in buying rural houses: Some for themselves, others to give away
"We must all be aware that this is a patriotic task," the relevant ministry said
The purchase of rural houses in Serbia is gaining momentum, since the Serbian diaspora is also starting to participate, the Ministry of Rural Welfare announced, adding that our people in the diaspora have expressed readiness to form foundations and take an active part in buying empty rural homes in Serbia.
According to a statement, their intention is to use the houses themselves, but they are also ready to give them to our young people who would like to live in them permanently.
A statement from the Ministry of Rural Welfare says that Minister Milan Krkobabic while speaking for RTS called on wealthy individuals, owners of successful companies to demonstrate social and corporate responsibility, join the campaign and buy a number of village houses that would be given to use by those who are interested in living in them.
"Either we will save the villages or it won't be good for Serbia. We must all be aware that this is a patriotic task and be ready to act united," Krkobabic said.
