Petar Kocovic, an information technology expert, says that the epidemiological situation in Europe is drastically deteriorating day by day.

"The number of infected people is growing in almost all countries, especially in Great Britain. They are now among the 30 most infected countries in the world. The number of infections is also growing in Russia, especially in the Moscow region; the numbers are drastically growing in Portugal, Spain, and in Cyprus," he told TV Pink.

Kocovic pointed out that the number of infections is moderately increasing in Central Europe, and added that the number of new cases is still stable in Serbia.

"During the past days, we have recorded a six percent increase in the number of infected people. Past trends teach us that this will not change, and that it will only grow. We can can say that Serbia is at the beginning of the fourth wave, so we will see what awaits us," said Kocovic and added:

"When we say that everything is fine, then we think that the virus is no longer here - and the virus is among us."

"We will be getting vaccinated with the third dose, the virus has been circulating for almost 70 months, the World Health Organization states that the virus is still here and that the end of the pandemic is not in sight. The older population has been vaccinated in smaller numbers, which is again enormously more than the young people in Serbia. They form a risk group," he concluded.
