Pictures of the traffic collapse that took place in Belgrade around half past nine this morning have flooded social networks. There were traffic jams in almost all parts of the city, while the situation was the most critical at Autokomanda and the Gazela Bridge.

It is presumed that the collapse started with a traffic accident near the Emergency Center, when two people were slightly injured.

Vehicles were moving in lines, so slowly that public transport passengers gave up and decided to walk. Thus, in one photo that was sent to Telegraf, you can see people walking on the road, with backpacks and bags, next to stationary vehicles.

Judging by the way they moved, they were in a hurry, because they did not expect the traffic chaos. Because of that many were probably late for work, college, school, or any other place they were headed to.

A traffic jam also occurred Pozeska Street, which is a phenomenon that people in this part of the city are already used to these days, since works on the road are in progress on the stretch from Petra Mecave to Kijevska street.

The situation was not much better in Ustanicka Street either, nor in Oslobodjenje Boulevard towards Slavija Square.
