20 more people die from coronavirus in Serbia: 1,277 new cases, 131 patients on ventilators

This is the latest cross-section of the situation regarding the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia

Coronvirus was confirmed in 1,277 more people in the last 24 hours as 20 more patients in Serbia died from Covid.

3,901 people are currently hospitalized, while 131 patients are on ventilators.

13,206 people were tested in the last 24 hours.

The largest number of new daily cases is still in Belgrade - 237, followed by Novi Sad with 64 and Nis with 44.

There are less than 40 new cases in other towns - 35 in Novi Pazar, 31 in Sabac, and 28 in Zajecar.

There are 27 new cases each in Jagodina and Zrenjanin, 26 in Valjevo and 25 in Smederevo.

A total of 3,744,303 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered so far while 1,638,516 citizens received both doses.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Serbia, as many as 698,518 positive cases have been registered in the country, while the death toll now stands at 6,519.

The total number of those tested in Serbia so far is 3,907,936.
