He saved many penalties, but not Vucic's: Serbian president shoots like a football great
Aleksandar Vucic visited Ub and the local football club Vrelo
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today during his visit to a mobile vaccination point at the stadium of the local football club Vrelo near the town of Ub that vaccination is today a matter of survival and development of the country and that for that reason, he doesn't find it difficult to go to every village if need be, if that means 50 or 100 more people there would get the jab.
Vucic also shot a penalty while on the pitch, and scored a goal, after which he received applause.
The president said that this is how Serbia scores against coronavirus, too, but that we will not be able to make up for all the goals conceded to the virus, which took thousands of lives in this country.
Vucic also thanked footballer Nemanja Matic who helped Vrelo get the nice football field.
"Our job is to fight and be responsible, it's a fight for continued economic growth. We can do thousands of things in Serbia if the economy moves forward and if we defeat coronavirus. Without that you have no chance. That is why I am surprised by the irresponsible people," said Vucic.
President Aleksandar Vucic today visited the mobile vaccination point in the village of Vrelo near Ub and once again called on citizens to get vaccinated.
He added that some people are against vaccination, even though they cannot explain why, and that in that way they are being defiant towards life.
"I plead with people not to do that and to try to further accelerate economic growth, if GDP growth is 7 percent I can guarantee you that there will be a rise in salaries and pensions, which brings people the opportunity to live better and have better hospitals, roads, railways and other things," said the president.
The issue of vaccination is an issue of survival and that is why it's not hard for me to go to every village, Vucic added.
