Miroslav Lukic, a resident of Velika Hoca, a place near Orahovac in Kosovo and Metohija, was attacked last night at around 9 o'clock by three Albanians, who first verbally insulted and then physically attacked him. He suffered a broken nose and is under observation in the hospital.

For months, residents of Velika Hoca and Orahovac have been targeted by local Albanians, who are releasing cattle on their land thus destroying their crops.

Lukic, who now got attacked, was drawing the attention of the police to this problem on several occasions, but it kept happening. Instead of solving the problem, it escalated into an even bigger incident, and Lukic was attacked only because he was reporting the problem.

The police were informed about the case, and the attacker was brought in.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija reacts

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija expects an adequate punishment to be given for this severe physical attack on Miroslav Lukic, but also an urgent reaction of the police to protect the property of Serb families in this part of Kosovo and Metohija, for whom agriculture is the only source of income.

In this way, their existence and survival in the area of Velika Hoca and Orahovac are directly endangered and a message is being sent that they are not welcome in their own homes. Therefore, this problem must be taken with utmost seriousness and the security of Serb families in this part of Kosovo and Metohija must be ensured.
