Another attack: Albanians beat 19-year-old Serb in Gracanica, shouting it was "their property"
The police described the attack as a fight
Three Albanians beat L.D. (19) from Gracanica (Kosovo and Metohija) last night at around 10 pm. The attack, as reported by RTV KiM, took place in front of the Civic Energy Center, next to which L.D., together with his sister and girlfriend, were driving by.
The father of the assaulted youth, Dejan Dimitrijevic, said that three unknown Albanians blocked his son's path and then attacked him, saying that it was "their property."
He claims that he was attacked by three Albanians. He also said that his son is currently in the hospital at the Clinical-Hospital Center in Gracanica.
"The police characterized it as light bodily injuries, but I would not agree with that, I think it is much more serious than that," Dimitrijevic said briefly.
According to Igor Aritonovic, a friend of Dimitrijevic's, three unknown Albanians used their cars to block the path of the victim and the girls traveling with him and then attacked L.D., telling him that "this is their property."
"They insulted and cursed him, told him that he had passed by their property. Then they started beating him until he fell to the ground. The girls were screaming, calling for help, and although they were not assaulted, they are in a very bad condition, scared and traumatized," says Aritonovic.
According to Aritonovic, the police were informed about the whole event, and the attackers gave a statement at the station.
"Unfortunately, the police did not characterize it as an attack, but as a fight. The attackers only gave a statement and were released last night," says Aritonovic.
For now, the claims about the attack against the young man have not been confirmed by those in charge at the police station in Gracanica.
