Covid claims another 30 lives in Serbia: 5,346 new cases in 24 hours, 222 patients on ventilators

This is the latest information regarding the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia

In the last 24 hours coronavirus was confirmed in 5,346 more people in Serbia while 30 patients died during the same time.

Since the last report, 18,017 samples have been tested, of which 29.67 percent were positive.

5,099 patients are hospitalized in Serbia, of which 222 are on ventilators.

The majority of confirmed new cases in the last 24 hours were once again in Belgrade - 1,473, followed by Nis - 345, and Novi Sad - 303.

There were 185 new cases in Kragujevac, followed by Kraljevo - 138, Vranje - 24, Pancevo - 110, Subotica - 94, Krusevac - 93, Aleksinac - 74, Novi Pazar - 65, Ivanjica - 64, Smederevo - 61, Paracin - 58, Kikinda - 57, Leskovac - 56, Trstenik - 53, Zrenjanin - 52, Backa Palanka - 51, Arandjelovac and Cacak - 50 each.

Coronavirus was confirmed in 49 people in Uzice, 43 in Sabac and Stara Pazova each, 42 in Cuprija, 39 in Arilje, 35 in Bor and Smederevska Palanka each, 34 in Sremska Mitrovica, 32 in Jagodina and 31 in Negotin.

So far in Serbia 2,107,424 citizens have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 826,343 have been vaccinated with the second.

Since March 6 last year, when the first case of coronavirus was confirmed in the country, until today, Covid has been confirmed in 536,904 people out of a total of 3,218,400 tested.

The Covid death toll is currently 4,840.
