We were in arrested horror Telegram group admin's village. Father in disbelief: "He's a good boy"
According to the father and the villagers, N.S. recently returned from the serving in the Army, where he was supposed to start working soon, while nobody expected something like this to happen
Residents of the village of Orljane in Doljevac, the home of N.S. (25), suspected of distributing underage pornography who was arrested on Thursday, heard the news that their neighbor had been taken away by the police in disbelief. The arrival of the members of the Criminal Police Directorate to this peaceful environment came out of nowhere, all the more so because they knocked on the door of a young man that they only have nice things to say about.
"For me, it's a huge surprise. That boy is good, withdrawn, he doesn't even know how to say hello when he meets you. He finished the School of Economics, then went to university, he was in the Army until two days ago. As soon as he arrived, he started working here in the village in a vegetable processing factory. A bad word has never been heard about him, ten years ago his parents divorced, his father raised him.
He (the father) is a good, hard-working man, a house painter, he does not pick jobs in order to raise his children. Personally, I don't believe a single word I read, maybe some mafia set him up. Well, the whole village is in shock, he also has a sister, I will never believe that he was able of doing something like that," one resident of Orljane tells us as she shows us a narrow street that leads to the house of the arrested young man.
A gray, nice double-floor house, a truck in the yard and a pigeon loft... No doubt, everything fits the description of the place we are looking for. As we ring the bell, a gloomy-looking man comes out of the house, visibly worried and with a phone in his hand. He explains to his interlocutor how to find him in the labyrinth of narrow Orljane paths. He admits that he is not happy to see a journalist.
"What can I say, it's terrible what is being written about my son. He is a good boy, I raised him, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics, he should have started working in the Army soon. He worked in several places, he was always on good terms with everyone.
I can't comprehend what is happening, we have not had peace in the last few days. He was very worried, I as well, looking at what was being written. When the police stood in front of the house today, it was terrible, I am still shaken, I'm still trembling," says M.S.
He carefully follows comments left on articles, hoping that in that way he will prove that his son did nothing that would take him behind bars.
"Half of them blame him, half are defending him ... Well, I see Karleusa (folk singer) is defending him, she says: 'Why did the girls upload such pictures'... I have to go look for a lawyer, it's hard for me that it's all in Belgrade, it would be easier for me to fight closer to here," the distressed man is complaining.
He says that he knew that his son was good with computers, but that he did not suspect he was doing something that was not allowed.
"I would never expect anything bad from him. Well, he had his life was before him, career, after this, who knows what will happen," said the father.
A worker in a nearby store confirms what the father of the arrested young man claims.
"I was shocked when I saw his picture in the newspaper today... I don't know him well, he is younger, but he would come to the store, a quiet boy, university educated, I know that everyone respected him for that. I was really surprised, I'm really sorry for him," says the saleswoman.
Whether because of the darkness or the winter, there are hardly any passers-by in the village. Three teenagers came out of one alley... "Excuse me, I'm a journalist, let me ask you a question..." Two of them ran away laughing, saying that they wouldn't have anything to do with journalists, while the third stopped. When asked if they knew the arrested man, and what kind of friend he was, they shouted:
"Excellent, justice for 'Sop' (his family's nickname), the girls are to blame!"
