Dr. Stevanovic: It's possible that coronavirus measures will be made more strict

A meeting between the health minister and directors of Covid hospitals was held at 10 am today

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar held a meeting with directors of Covid hospitals today at 10 am in the Palace of Serbia, after which Director of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases of the University Clinical Center of Serbia Dr. Goran Stevanovic said that there is a possibility that the measures might be tightened if the epidemiological situation worsens.

Above all, it would be necessary to shorten the opening hours in the hospitality industry and additionally reduce the capacity of tourist facilities.

"It is being considered to, if the situation continues to worsen, possibly request stricter measures, primarily shortening the opening hours of hospitality establishments and further reducing the capacity of tourist facilities," Stevanovic said, as reported by Tanjug.

He said that the number of people infected with coronavirus and those who require hospitalization is growing.

"Covid hospitals in Batajnica and Krusevac will be using their capacities fully," he pointed out.
