Serbia has firm guarantees from five countries that they are ready to withdraw the decision to recognize Kosovo as independent, Novosti reports, citing sources in the Government of Serbia.

If Pristina violates an agreement according to which it should refrain from applying for membership in international organizations, Belgrade will ask those countries to activate the process of revoking their recognitions, the newspaper said, according to Tanjug.

With the Washington document from September 2020, Belgrade and Pristina agreed to a one-year moratorium on the campaign for the withdrawal of recognitions, and on (Pristina) applying for admission to international organizations.

Recently, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic pointed out that Albanians want so-called Kosovo to join the Conference of International Courts, which, as he said, does not respect the Washington Agreement.

The decision to recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo has so far been withdrawn by 18 countries, and Serbia has put lobbying for this "on ice" after the signing the agreement in the White House.
