Piksi receives offer from Serbian FA, to become 2nd highest paid head coach in history if he accepts
Stojkovic is allegedly ready to accept the offer
Dragan Stojkovic Piksi has received an official offer from the Football Federation of Serbia (FSS) to become the second highest paid coach of the Serbian national football squad in history!
The Sportski Zurnal daily writes that the FSS has prepared a two-year contract for Piksi, according to which he will earn 600,000 euros a year. That is 270,000 less than what late Radomir Antic once earned, after Serbia qualified for the World Cup.
Piksi will receive an additional million euros if the Serbian team now advance from the qualifying group that includes Portugal, the Republic of Ireland, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg, and go to the World Cup in Qatar.
Zurnal also cites its sources to claim that all three sides are ready to make concessions, and by three we mean the FSS, Piksi, and Guangzhou R&F, where Stojkovic is under contract for another six months.
The Chinese are ready for an amicable termination, Piksi will give up a part of the money, while the FSS has exceeded its paying power with this offer. By comparison, the previous head coach of the national team, Ljubisa Tumbakovic, earned 360,000 a year.
