President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today he wanted to praise the action of the Ministry of the Interior and the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, adding that it showed that those who commit crimes cannot go unpunished.

"Excellent cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and the BIA has led to good results and to the fact that we can provide people with greater security. This is a difficult and important, but also a serious continuation of the big and serious fight against the mafia and those who thought they were stronger than the state and who thought they could do whatever they wanted thanks to their connections. This is a big blow to the mafia and crime," said Vucic and congratulated everyone who participated in this operation.

"Everyone who worked on that operation knows that it's not at all simple and they know that they risked their own and the safety of their families, knowing that they are in that way protecting the safety and future of the citizens of Serbia," said Vucic.

Velja Nevolja (real name Veljko Belivuk) and Marko Miljkovic were arrested this morning at around 5 o'clock on the order of the Prosecutor's Office. Belivuk's arrest took place on Mt. Rudnik, as he planned to flee Serbia.

They are charged with murder and other most serious crimes.

At the same time, 16 more members of his criminal group got arrested. They all "fell" on their way to torch cars they had used in criminal showdowns. They are also charged with most serious crimes - murders and kidnappings.
