Brnabic: Mass vaccination of population in Serbia starts tomorrow, these 4 groups first
The prime minister expressed her expectation that during 2021, in terms of health, we will be able to return to how we lived before the coronavirus pandemic
Vaccination of the next priority group, which includes educators, members of the Ministry of the Interior, the Serbian Army and media representatives, will begin tomorrow, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced.
She said that media representatives, especially media workers who are constantly on the ground, have been included in the priority group at the appeal of media associations, but also at the request of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
"Mass vaccination of the population will start tomorrow," Brnabic said after visiting the Milan Munjas school in Ub, and appealed on everyone to apply for vaccination in as great numbers as possible, RTS reports.
As she stated, the faster and the more efficiently the vaccination is done, the faster we will return to a normal life.
She expressed her expectation that during 2021, in terms of health, we will be able to return to how we lived before the coronavirus pandemic.
"It's very important that schools reopened today and it's necessary to enable them to work as long as possible in normal conditions, that are threatened by the virus epidemic," said Ana Brnabic.
Brnabic stated that it is especially important that 1st to 4th graders attend school in normal conditions, in order to be with teachers and friends, socialize, educate and acquire a work ethic.
"That is why we made the decision to start classes again after the winter break. We have an extremely good system of supervision over new cases, we will monitor the number of new cases, students, and teaching and other staff in schools every day, and we will try to provide them with all the necessary support so that classes are as normal possible, for as long as possible," said Brnabic.
For this reason she called on educators to get vaccinated in as great numbers as possible, registering either with their school administrations or through the eUrava portal, electronically or by phone, because, as she says, it is a system that works perfectly at the moment.
"We have started inviting people who have expressed an interest to get vaccinated," said the prime minister.
