Together in elections: Kurti is candidate for prime minister, Osmani is aiming for presidency
Osmani said that the agreement reached on Thursday represents the will of the citizens
Leader of the Self-Determination Movement Albin Kurti and Vjosa Osmani officially signed an agreement to jointly participate in the snap parliamentary elections in Kosovo on February 14.
"Today, when we are only a month away from the elections, we are happy to announce that we will run together on the list. Osmani and I are in the same place and with the same purpose. We have reached an agreement on the goal of the rule of law without corruption. For a society with healthcare and education. We will campaign together. On Saturday, January 16, we will submit our list of candidates," Kurti told a press conference he held together with Osmani.
He added that 2020 showed that Kosovo needs a new prime minister and a new president, addressing Osmani.
Osmani said that the agreement reached on Thursday represents the will of the citizens.
"We are determined in the fight against organized crime and corruption. We are determined to defend the country's constitution. We are determined for a Kosovo where everyone can secure a dignified life. Kosovo needs a prime minister who will not close their eyes to injustice," Osmani said.
She stressed that they would cooperate together in the spirit of Skanderbeg, Rugova and Adem Jashari.
"There is still a month to go until the elections, what we achieved today reflects the will of the citizens of Kosovo," Osmani concluded, according to a Gazeta report.
