A raft overturned today due to rising waters in the area of the village of Seliste near Trstenik on the Zapadna Morava River.

Five people fell into the cold water. Four managed to swim ashore and they are currently receiving treatment, Pink reports.

A man, about 70 years old, is missing. The raft is used mainly by locals to transport agricultural machinery.

The Ministry of the Interior said that their teams are on the ground and the first information from the field is awaited.

As Novosti found out, the police are looking for a local man, 70-year-old R.M.

R.M. was with four of his friends trying to tie up the raft because the Morava was rising. The circumstances under which the accident occurred are still being determined.
