41 patients die from Covid in Serbia in 24 hours: Virus confirmed in 2,653 more people

This is the latest information regarding the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia

Over the last 24 hours coronavirus was confirmed in 2,653 people in Serbia, and at the same time 41 patients died as a result of the disease.

Samples taken from 12,954 people have been tested, of which 20.48 percent were positive.

Currently, 6,719 patients are hospitalized with Covid in Serbia, of whom 242 breathe through ventilators.

The highest number of newly infected people was still in Belgrade - 704. In the last 24 hours, the virus was confirmed in 145 people in Novi Sad, 105 in Nis, 97 in Sabac, 86 in Kragujevac, and 54 in Pancevo.

In Kraljevo, coronavirus has been confirmed in 53 people since the last report, 50 in Uzice, 49 in Vranje, 46 in Krusevac and Subotica each, while Valjevo reported 39 new cases.

In Jagodina this number was 37, in Sremska Mitrovica 28, in Zrenjanin and Cacak 28 each, in Aleksinac 27, in Smederevo 26, in Velika Plana 25 and in Loznica 24. Priboj had 22 new cases, while Arandjelovac, Vrbas and Koceljeva had 21 each.

In Prokuplje, the virus was confirmed in another 20 people, the same as in Novi Pazar, Leskovac and Pozega.

Other towns reported fewer than 20 new cases.

So far in Serbia, a total of 2,344,590 people have been tested for coronavirus. It has been confirmed in 349,238 cases, while Covid has so far taken 3,405 lives in our country.
