The Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) has called on the owners of accounts on social networks bearing the name "the Serbian Orthodox Church" and displaying its official coat of arms to delete them as soon as possible, recalling that the only official presentation of the Serbian Orthodox Church on the internet can be found at спц.срб (Serbian for spc.srb) and spc.rs.

This came after several fake accounts that use the name of the Serbian Orthodox Church and its coat of arms appeared lately, which is why believers asked whether these belong to the Serbian Orthodox Church, both given the views expressed on them, but also because of various economic transactions performed through these accounts.

In a statement sent to the media, the Serbian Orthodox Church said that the owners of such accounts should delete them, considering that this is an activity classified as the criminal offense of false representation.
