Dr. Udovicic's brutal joke: "We'll have New Year party at Karaburma (hospital), everyone's welcome"

Coronavirus was confirmed in 6,534 people in Serbia in the last 24 hours, and a special appeal to behave responsibly has been sent to young people

The commander of the military hospital in Karaburma, Dr. Ivo Udovicic, pointed out at a press conference today that Covid is a very serious disease, as well as that the Spanish fever was nothing like that either. He warned that both young and old are dying, and that there is no cure for the disease, other than hospital protocols.

Therefore, on the eve of the New Year's holidays, he called for young people to show special responsibility, primarily because of their elders, whom they could infect and then spend the rest of their lives thinking whether they could have avoided the fatal consequences...

"As for the story about the New Year and New Year's Eve, just to make sure not everything's so sad, here's one joke, we are preparing a New Year's Eve party in Karaburma. We decorated the tree, we put a protective mask on it, a visor and you are all welcome to it," said Udovicic.

He later explained that invitation referred to "the green zone". "Just so you don't think that our tree is in the red zone," the doctor added.

Coronavirus was confirmed in 6,534 people in Serbia in the last 24 hours. 19,826 persons have been tested in that time. 319 patients are on ventilators.
