Child killed by electric shock: He wanted to turn on computer or phone, resuscitation lasted 2 hours

A 12-year-old boy was electrocuted in an apartment in Vozdovac, Belgrade, when he tried to turn on a computer or a phone, Telegraf.rs has learned from the emergency medical service. A technician who lives in the same building immediately tried to resuscitated him, but did not succeed.
This great tragedy happened yesterday at 6:30 pm in Dragice Koncar Street in Vozdovac.
As Dr. Ivana Stefanovic from the Emergency Service in Belgrade told Telegraf.rs, a technician of this service, who lives in the same building as the boy, heard the impact and immediately went downstairs.
"He was getting ready for work when the shock happened. He immediately started resuscitation. In the meantime, our team also arrived. They tried to resuscitate the boy for two hours, but, unfortunately, the outcome was lethal A great tragedy," Dr. Ivana Stefanovic told our portal.
She added that, as the head of the shift told her, the electric shock occurred when the victim turned on his computer or his phone.
"The likely mechanism of injury was an attempt to turn on a computer or a phone," she says.
According to her, the technician in whose building this tragedy happened is one of the best and they believed that he would manage to save the boy, but unfortunately that did not happen.
"The crew returned to the Institute just before 10 pm," she said, also shaken by this accident.
Two ambulance crews went to the scene.
