Covid numbers are still high: Another 55 patients die in Serbia, 6,224 new cases

In the last 24 hours coronavirus was confirmed in 6,224 more people, and at the same time, 55 patients died as a result of the Covid disease.
17,093 people were tested, of which 36.41 percent were positive.
There are 253 patients on ventilator.
A total of 1,604 people have died so far.
New cases by city: Belgrade 1,503, Novi Sad 534, Kragujevac 278, Nis 223, Kraljevo 222, Zrenjanin 129, Pancevo 113, Subotica 113, Valjevo 107, Uzice 106, Sremska Mitrovica 101, Cacak 96, Smederevo 91, Kikinda 89, Vranje 70, while other towns have less than 70.
So far, a total of 1,777,582 people have been tested, 175,438 of whom positive.
A session of the Crisis HQ for the fight against coronavirus was held today, when the current epidemiological situation was discussed.
The most talked topic about was the arrival of Serbian citizens from abroad before the upcoming holidays and the question of whether to introduce mandatory PCR testing and quarantine measures for members of the diaspora who want to come to the country.
As the media speculate, a request was made today to shut down hospitality industry establishments and all except grocery stores. However, there is also talk that a decision on the new measures will definitely be made in two days.
