"Nemanja Vidic wants to be head coach of Serbia": Terzic reveals ex national team player's idea
The director general of Red Star FC revealed the idea of the celebrated former Serbian national football team member
Celebrated Serbian football player Nemanja Vidic recently strongly criticized the work of the Football Federation of Serbia (FSS), stressing that there is no system in place that can bring results.
Director General of the Red Star Zvezdan Terzic revealed some interesting things about Vidic during an appearance on TV Prva.
"Nemanja Vidic had a grandiose career and certainly deserves a function and a place in Serbian football. Whether it's Red Star or the FSS..."
"That whole generation, such as Vidic, Stankovic, Kolarov, Danko Lazovic, Bane Ivanovic, all of them are finishing their careers or have finished them and in accordance with their wishes they should find a place in Serbian football."
"Serbian football needs them. There should be room for them, while it should be seen with them in which positions," said Terzic and added:
"I spoke with Nemanja a year and a half ago, he told me at the time that he had finished his professional license in England and that his wish was to be a coach and one day a head coach, and I am sure he will be."
The host of the morning program, Filip Cukanovic, asked Terzic - does Vidic want something, considering that he sent the letter?
"I can't speak on his behalf, maybe he had the need to say what he didn't like. That is legitimate, although I think that the FSS has its own bodies ... We all deal in public work, we are public figures and we are all subject to criticism, and I am in favor of criticism, but with arguments, not the blanket kind," Terzic concluded.
