By the decision of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the body of Patriarch Irinej will lie in state in the Cathedral Church in Belgrade, during Holy Liturgy on the day of that church's patron saint feast, Saturday, and then be transferred to the Church of Saint Sava in Vracar, where believers will have the opportunity to say goodbye.
Patriarch Irinej will be buried on Sunday in the crypt of the Temple of Saint Sava in Vracar.
Doctors of the VMC Karaburma who treated Patriarch Irinej went out in front of the hospital to say goodbye to him.
