Details about the funeral of Serbian Patriarch Irinej announced
The patriarch will be laid to rest on Sunday
The body of the blessed reposed Serbian Patriarch Irinej will lie in state in the Cathedral of the Holy Archangel Michael in Belgrade during Holy Liturgy on the feast day of the Cathedral, November 21, 2020, and then transferred to the Church of St. Sava in Vracar, where believers will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the blessed reposed Patriarch, the Serbian Orthodox Church has announced.

Holy Funeral Liturgy will be served on Sunday, November 22, 2020, in the church of Saint Sava in Vracar, starting at 9 am. As Holy Liturgy continues, requiem will be served and the body of the patriarch will be buried in the crypt of the temple of Saint Sava.
Patriarch Irinej passed away this morning at 7:07 in the VMC Karaburma, where he was hospitalized on November 5 after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Serbian government will declare three days of mourning because of the death of Patriarch Irinej. The three-day mourning is in force today, tomorrow and on Sunday, when the patriarch will be buried.
