Metropolitan Amfilohije left a will: It will be opened exclusively with the blessing of Jonikije
The metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral died on October 30, and the lawyer of this diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) says that he has Amfilohije's written message
The recently deceased Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije left a written will and testamnt that will be read in the presence of Bishop Joanikije of Budmlje-Niksic, who is currently in self-isolation due to coronavirus, said the Metropolitanate's lawyer Dalibor Kavaric.
Kavaric told the daily Pobjeda in Podgorica that it would be read in the presence of Bishop Jonikije, who is also the Metropolitanate's administrator, so that, as he says, some frivolous individual or the media would not question the credibility or authenticity of the late Montenegrin metropolitan's last will.
He points out that he must therefore wait for the recovery of Bishop Jonikije, so that in his presence and with his blessing, the Metropolitan's will can be presented to the public.
The metropolitan of Montenegro and the Litteral died on October 30, and Kavaric says that Afmilohije's written message is in his possession.
"As these are very serious testamentary facts and orders, with long-term consequences, as well as considering that some 'unnamed sources' and 'reliable collaborators' of some media question whether the will was indisputably written by Metropolitan Amfilohije or if it is only a non-binding letter or order, as well as due to the seriousness and removal of any doubt in the written facts and orders that need to be announced, I will wait for the recovery of Bishop Jonikije," Kavaric told Pobjeda.
He added that on the basis of his knowledge and experience so far, without any doubt, everything written in the document is absolutely clear, serious and binding, "of course for those who want to respect the last will of the metropolitane."
"For those who do not respect it and do not want to listen to it, there is no coercive mechanism wihich could force them to respect and fulfill the will," Kavaric is clear.
