The Specialist Kosovo Chambers, also known as the special court for the so-called KLA's crimes, is urging the (surviving) victims of the crimes for which Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi are accused (including human organ trade, murders and kidnappings) to apply to participate in the court proceedings.

The victims can participate in the proceedings if they show that they have suffered damage, including physical, mental or material, as a direct result of the criminal acts from the confirmed indictments, the chambers said in a statement.

It was indicated that the victims participating in proceedings before the Specialist Chamber would form one or more groups.

The victims' representative will act before a competent panel, and during the procedure they will regularly inform the victims about the course of the proceedings. The victims' representative will ask for the victims to be heard, hear their problems and bring them before the competent judges, it is stated in the announcement.

The victims participating in the proceedings before the Specialist Chambers have certain rights, including the right to be informed, to be granted the victim status, and to receive compensation.
