EULEX members are searching houses of former president of the temporary Pristina institutions, Hashim Thaci, and DPK leader Kadri Veseli, Pristina media are reporting.

EULEX forces have been at the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Kosovo since this morning, while members of the Kosovo Police are in front of the party's premises.

Thaci and Veseli have been in custody in The Hague since yesterday, after the indictments against them were confirmed by the Specialist Chambers, which, along with other suspects, charged them with a number of war crimes committed in Kosovo, including almost 100 murders.

The victims of the criminal acts mentioned in the indictments are hundreds of persons whose identity is known, among whom are Kosovo Albanians, Serbs, Romanis and persons of other nationalities, as well as political opponents, the Specialist Prosecutor's Office announced earlier.

The EULEX mission, which provides logistics and operational support for the arrest of the indictees, said yesterday that anyone who committed crimes should be held accountable and that the trial should be fair.
