Indictment against Krasniqi confirmed, his extradition to The Hague expected during the day
In the meantime, EULEX members are still in the yard of the Krasniqi family home in the municipality of Glogovac
Valon Hasani, the lawyer for the former spokesman of the so-called KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army"), Jakup Krasniqi, said today that his client is expected to be transferred to The Hague during the day.
He also said that the indictment against Krasniqi had been confirmed, Pristina's Koha reports.
"The indictment has been confirmed, now Mr. Krasniqi must be transferred to The Hague, I believe today," said Hasani.
In the meantime, EULEX members are still in the yard of the Krasniqi family home in the municipality of Glogovac.
This former spokesman for the so-called KLA knew about the planning, execution and organization of kidnappings, murders and physical abuse of the Serb population in Kosovo and Metohija.
During the war in 1999, he was the spokesman and a member of the so-called general staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
He was one of the founders of the so-called KLA in Drenica and the leader of one of the terrorist groups, "Plumbi" ("Pidgeon").
In July last year, he traveled to The Hague after the Specialist Chambers invited him to show up, where he was questioned as part of an investigation and prosecution of war crimes which members of the so-called KLA have committed against Serbs and other non-Albanians.
