The United States is welcoming election night in probably the most tense atmosphere in its election history, given the very dirty campaigns of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the complete chaos with regard to the coronavirus epidemic, as well as the very uncertain continuation of the fight for greater rights of the black population.

Philadelphia is the most important city in Pennsylvania, the state in which Donald Trump won by less than 1% four years ago, beating Hillary Clinton, a Democrat, whose party's previous candidate, Barack Obama, had triumphed the previous two times.

In an unusual atmosphere, this city is preparing for another election.

According to our source in Philadelphia, the city has been burdened with the campaign and coronavirus for months, and recently a curfew was introduced there after the murder of an African-American youth, who was shot by the police.

"It's pretty chaotic in the city."

"Some people protest peacefully, and then you have thieves waiting for every opportunity to pillage. The stores have been barricaded," said a native of Belgrade who has been living in this city for years, conveying her impressions.

Indeed, looking at the photos given to us, everything seems to have come from a movie about the end of the world. Boards nailed to banks, stores, and even malls. In the most democratic country in the world, on the day of the presidential election.

Many companies in the United States have internally forwarded a statement to their employees about possible riots during and after election night.

No one is clear whether the riots and protests can be prevented by the victory of Trump or Biden. Bookmakers still give the Democratic candidate a better chance, but wasn't that the case the previous time as well, when Trump won?

Stay with Telegraf.rs throughout the night. We are watching live (in Serbian) the most important elections in the world unfold; it is expected that before dawn we will find out the final winner and the next president of an America that has been deeply shaken for months.
