Serbia crosses terrible figure, breaking single-day Covid record again: 1,053 new cases, 5 dead

This is the latest cross-section of the coronavirus epidemic situation

The number of persons newly diagnosed with coronavirus in Serbia in the last 24 hours has been 1,053. 9,430 people were tested while five patients died in this period of time.

So far, the total coronavirus death toll in Serbia has been 798.

There are currently 38 patients on ventilators.

Relative to the number of people tested, 11.17 percent were infected.

So far, a total of 1,298,949 people have been tested in Serbia, with 40,880 positives.

In the last seven days, coronavirus flared up again in the Zlatibor District, where an emergency situation could be introduced in the town of Prijepolje.

From October 21 to 27, coronavirus was confirmed in 117 people in this part of the country: 63 in Prijepolje, 21 in Uzice, 11 in Pozega, 8 in Priboj, 5 in Kosjeric, 2 in Arilje, 2 in Nova Varos, 2 in Sjenica, 2 in Cajetina, and 1 in Bajina Basta.
