The Hungarian prosecutor's office has filed an indictment against an English citizen who was arrested while attempting to smuggle 22 kilograms of drugs from Serbia, the prosecutor from the Csongrad-Csanad district announced today.

The indictment states that the Englishman tried to transfer a record 22 kilograms of heroin from Serbia to Hungary, while his plan was to take the drugs to Germany, reports MTI.

He allegedly hid the drugs under the car seat, and the Hungarian police caught him on January 19.

The indictment states that he possessed a significant amount of narcotics.
