Marera Properties, one of the largest companies in the commercial real estate market in Serbia, will be the new owner of the business tower the Belgrade Palace, known as Beogradjanka. As part of a public bidding procedure conducted by the City of Belgrade, a Marera Properties daughter company made the best offer and is now in the process of finalizing the sales contract.

The acquisition refers to office space in the Beogradjanka tower, without a retail facility located next to it. This is close to 20,000 square meters, which definitely confirms the company's leading position in the office space segment in the center of the capital.

Since 1974, when it was built, the Belgrade Palace has not undergone any significant renovation. The company Marera Properties has undertaken the obligation to make an additional investment worth 8 million euros, and to finishing works within three years.

"We are absolutely aware of the fact that Beogradjanka is one of the landmarks of our capital. With a maximum sense of responsibility but also enthusiasm, we will enter the reconstruction project. We really have rich experience in this field, including renovation of iconic architectural buildings. The best example known to the public is the reconstruction of the former Beko hall, today the Kalemegdan Business Center, done in cooperation with the Republic Institute for the Protection of Monuments," said Milana Sreckov, Marera Properties director.

"Beogradjanka was once the most modern building in the country, and our plan is to return that status to it through innovative design and adaptation to current trends in architecture and interior design of business premises. We are certain that the city administration and our fellow citizens will be proud of the result together with us," said Sreckov.

The Belgrade Palace will open its doors to the business community after the reconstruction. Those renting there will have at their disposal attractive office space in a prestigious location, made to the highest standards and adapted to modern business concepts.
