Blind boxer from Banja Luka delights region: He's a student, has a band, and gives music lessons
He says he doesn't find it difficult to train, and that the biggest challenge was starting to box
Ognjen Kojic from Banja Luka was born blind, but that is not an obstacle for him to do boxing.
According to ATV, he has been trained by Bozidar Pejakovic for four years, and during that time acquired enviable boxing skills.
He says he doesn't find it difficult to train, and that the biggest challenge was to start boxing.
"It took a while in the beginning, but Bozidar had a clear work strategy from the very start, with which we achieved this result. It was hard in the beginning, but we managed to reach our common goal," says Ognjen Kojic.
As he stresses, boxing is a very important part of his life, while sport has been his passion since he was a child.
"It's very important to me to do boxing. It allows me to be physically active even though I have been blind since birth. We have found a method of work by which we achieve positive results," he added.
Bozidar, once a boxer himself, did not hesitate for a moment when Ognjen contacted him with the desire to start training.
He is full of praise for his friend, whom he often admires because of his versatile everyday life.
"We are like two souls and one body. It was difficult in the beginning, but now it's completely normal. He is a guy who deserves all the praise. He's a student, has his own band, he gives accordion and keyboard lessons, and he also manages to train. The guy has 24 hours packed with obligations, I don't know how he gets time to sleep," says Bozidar Pejakovic, a trainer at the BK Slavija 1961 club.
