The meeting between representatives of Belgrade and Pristina, scheduled for September 2 at the White House, could be postponed for two days so that US President Donald Trump could participate in it, writes Pristina based Gazeta Express.

This has been reported by the Pristina media, citing unnamed sources.

As they further state, Pristina has confirmed its participation in the meeting even if it is postponed for September 4, while Belgrade has not yet stated its position.

This news has not been confirmed.

Earlier today, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that there are some initiatives to move the date of the meeting by a short amount of time.

"We'll see, I'm waiting to see what that's about, then we'll let you know. I don't think it will be easy, do I personally feel a great burden on that issue: yes, but I can guarantee that I will fight for the interests of Serbia. And what some are fantasizing about, that recognition of Kosovo will be signed there, there is no possibility for it to happen under any circumstances," he said.
