The epidemiological situation in Serbia is still uncertain, yesterday the number of new coronavirus infections was 161, and this is by no means the time for a sudden relaxation of measures, epidemiologist Predrag Kon has told RTS.

He said that the virus is still present, that Covid clinics are still doing their job and that there are patients.

"The number of those who are tested on suspicion of having Covid is decreasing, the number of those who are being tested for travel is increasing. All this provides data on the percentage of positivity that is not completely adequate, but it is clear that a calming is underway," says Kon.

He stressed that measures should not be relaxed too soon, but that this doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about it.

He also said that the absolute priority now is the opening of schools, that is, ensuring that the epidemiological situation is as good as possible as classes resume.
